The Horror Movie Show 0003: Turn The Brightness Up
Episode 3 Podcast features reviews, ratings and discussion on Saw VI that is playing at theaters right now. The Jigsaw is back with more tortuous games for unsuspecting individuals, and the storyline is explained.
The second movie in the discussion is the recently released DVD for Basement Jack. A new killer has rose with his intense acting of a lunatic that does his deeds during lightning storms. The analysis turns one sided when reviewing the film.
Finally, a “Dud of the Week” is announced. The HorrorGuy was really turned off by a B-Rated flick called “Stash”. A recommendation to stay away from the film at all costs.

Yes Brian I want to thank you also for listening in on our podcast and for spreading the word on our site. Really appreciated!
Basement Jack was a very cool movie, great review.
Great site, I’m pleased I found it, I now have a place to come to for horror audio!
I had never heard of Basement Jack, got to rent that. It’s neat the producer actually commented here. Good show, an easy listen.
im with u 2 horror guy lets make a stand and no more SAW junk it has run its course & theres another one on the way i see oh brother
Hello, me again! Since I finally saw Saw VI, I’m finally going to comment. I’m sorry to say, Horror Guy, that I tremendously disagree with you. I personally think that the most appealing thing about the Saw saga is precisely that it’s a gory horror movie with a Story. The torture and death scenes are there to support the story, not the opposite. And the fact that you have to see every movie in order to understand the last one is good, because if you like it, you’ll want to know what happened before and you’ll go see it. More revenue. If a sequel is not related to the first one, why give it the same name? Besides, the idea that a guy will go to those lengths to do what he considers “the right thing” is fascinating, yet frightening. You will have to accept, my friend, that if they already made 6 movies, and they might do more, it’s because the movies are good.
I’m not saying you are wrong; never. I’m just saying, there are movies for all ways of thinking, and the people who like intricate stories with their horror will like this one. You should mention that too, don’t you think?
Ariadna: Saw has become such a love/hate type of movie. The first few were fine, but the intricate story is so overplayed now in my opinion. The Jigsaw who plays this god-like figure has become so annoying to me, the moral of the story just don’t cut it anymore. I know there are die-hard fans of this series, its just not my cup of tea.
You make good points and you are like the HorrorGal who really enjoy the Saw phenomenon. Thanks for the detailed comment it is much appreciated.
I like a dark-eeirily scary movie, not too dark where you can’t see but dark like at night, gives you a tingling up your back. Bought Basement Jack and was a really scary movie, acting needed improvement though.
i bet you can’t wait for saw 3d horrorgal it is coming soon
i for one do like the saw series and even though i like them i will wait for your rating first before i spend my money taking the family out
