The Horror Movie Show 0016: Awesome Psycho Chick
Episode 16 Podcast features two newly released DVD reviews starting off with She’s Crushed. A woman moves into the neighborhood and gets fixated on a man that has no desire to be with her. This makes Tara extremely angry and she starts to turn on his cohorts in violent ways.
Next the two critics discuss Freeway Killer which is a true story based on the serial killer, William Bonin. Scott Leet portrays this crazy man that will stop at nothing to kill innocent teens while driving along the highway.
A viewer request from John Sealander for the movie Event Horizon is also briefly reviewed and rated. Set in the future, an outer space mission to figure out what happened to a ship that disappeared many years ago results in bizarre events and sabotage.
Two excellent recommendations are given and the final clue of the trivia question is announced. All answers must be submitted by 02/19/2010 at 11:59pm PST. Correct responses for the horror movie title will be entered into the drawing for a free gift.

Hey Horrorgal I remember that beyond the door movie from the 70s and I was scared out of my mind. I was a teenager at that time and had nightmares about it. Great pick. Fun podcast you 2, you make a good team. By the way I love the new design, sweet and neat.
Sadly I’ve only seen a handful of movies in my 31-year life so I haven’t seen the movies mentioned however they do sound very interesting and worth checking out. Its hard finding a movie that’s memorable for being good. Thanks for the mentions.
I enjoy those psychologically horror thrillers like She’s Crushed, so I am sure I will love that one. If that girl is anything like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, it will be a winner. Renting it today at my local video store.
Hey, thanks Horror Guy and Gal for reviewing Event Horizon! I was also delighted to see that you chose Ridley Scott’s original Alien movie as one of your “Thriller Chiller” picks of the week. I agree with Horror Guy. This film is the best! I consider Alien the first “modern” science fiction horror classic. The scene where the creature bursts out of John Hurt’s chest is one of the most memorable horror moments on film. Ridley Scott didn’t tell the actors about all the blood that would be spewing out on them during the “chestburster” scene. Veronica Cartwright’s horrified reaction was totally unscripted and real. This movie changed the basic nature of all future science fiction flicks. Any time you see a creature pop through someone’s skin in a Dr. Who episode, just remember that it all started with Ridley Scott over thirty years ago.
We can’t forget either that “Aliens,” the 1986 sequel, was where director James Cameron got his science fiction chops and credibility. There might not have ever been an “Avatar” if it wasn’t for the Alien series of films.

Alien with Sigourney Weaver is one of my alltime favs, when that parasite comes bursting out of the stomach is awesome. Definitely worth a buy like Horror Guy says. Now the Horror Gals pick this week I had never seen, so I did use the buy link on the recommendations page and purchased it. Let me tell you it was frightening and kept you on the edge of your seat.
