The second movie analyzed is Shark Swarm starring John Schneider who played Bo on the Dukes Of Hazzard, plus Daryl Hannah, Armand Assante and John Enos III. Let me start by saying that I have enjoyed all episodes of your podcast and totally like the ratings and reviews, most of the time I even buy or rent horror movies based on them.
But, my beef is with the Horror Gal on the Human Centipede. I just got done watching this at IFC Theaters in NY, NY and I am miffed at Horror Gals 10 rating on the category Plot. Too me it seemed like the Horror Gal based this rating on originality which has me boggled. The plot is a key part of any film and their were at least 8 holes in this story, I will name a few.
1 – Where did the Japanese guy come from, he just shows up with him in the car.
2 – There is no good reason explained of why this doctor is doing this.
3 – There are so many times any one of the centipede humans could of stopped this old, fledgling doctor.
4 – The cops come back with a warrant without any backup.
5 – The doctor wants the heavyset cops to make a 5 piece pede, although he had to kill the trucker because he wasn’t the same size of the girls.
Horror Gal please explain how you came to a 10 for story, you didn’t take into account all the holes and based solely on originality, which still couldn’t garnish a 10. Maybe you needed to like this because of the 3 hour road trip to see this junk? I know this is a love it or hate it type movie and can live with your overall rating of a 6, even though I would rate it a 3, more inline with the Horror Guy.

Hi Bob,
I solely rated the plot a 10 for the reason that it was something so original and so far fetched to me, it was so unique that I had never seen anything like it. Sure there were a lot of holes and that is the reason my overall rating was a 6. It is just my opinion and you are entitled to yours. Thank you for taking the time to listen to our podcast, it is much appreciated.
While the centipede movie sounds original it also sounds very dumb. I think I will avoid that, but I will rent your 2 thriller chiller picks this week as I have never seem them.
My family watched that Shark Swarm movie recently and it was sooooooooooooooo long, sickening actually, we wanted some Jaws like action and got none of it. I am with you on that rating of 3, good thing we have podcasts like yours, you can save people money by avoiding crap like that.
