The Horror Movie Show 0054: Maggot Eyes

The first movie rated and reviewed is the 2009 Oscar Wilde tale Dorian Gray which was just released on BluRay yesterday. Stars include Ben Barnes and Colin Firth. A kind, young man moves back to London where he gets a portrait painted of him, whereby he makes a pact with the devil to remain ageless, but this in turn makes him become a sexual deviant and a despicable man.

The second movie analyzed was a guest host pick called Dead Silence. When a ventriloquist puppet shows up on the doorstep of a couple, all hell breaks loose as the legend of Mary Shaw comes to life and starts offing everyone associated with this so-called myth. A few stars give a stellar performance including Ryan Kwanten, Donnie Wahlberg and Michael Fairman.

The Horror Movie Show 0053: Fetuses In The Womb

Episode 53 Podcast is the debut show with our new co-host DoctorHorror. Also, a special guest host returns, Julie Hoverson from 19 Nocturne Boulevard. Listed below are several links to her audio drama series and other works on the web.

The show begins with a complete analysis and rating of the French movie The Horde (La Horde) that is available on VOD through TF1 Vision for a little more than $6 bucks. A group of vigilante cops try to take down a mob of criminals in a broken down apartment complex. Once there, everyone is confronted with an epidemic and doomsday scenario of ravage zombies.

The second movie reviewed is a guest host pick from 1999 called Ravenous. This film features several stars including Robert Carlyle, Guy Pearce and Jeffrey Jones. Set back in the mid 1800′s, a battalion of misfit military personel help out a stranded man in the isolated snow-covered mountains of the west. What they didn’t realize is that this man is a cannibal and will stop at nothing to satisfy his craving of human flesh.
