The Horror Movie Show 0051: Old Creepy Ghost Movies
Episode 51 Podcast is our monthly themed episode that was recorded live on TalkShoe. This was a much anticipated show for the HorrorGal as she just loves ghost and haunting movies, but you might be surprised on how she rated them.
The 3 creepy films discussed are The Innocents starring Deborah Kerr. This movie is actually a lot of peoples favorite ghost movie of all-time. Next is Let’s Scare Jessica To Death, a haunting tale about a mental woman who is not sure if she is going crazy again. We round it off with Don’t Go To Sleep, a 1982 made for TV film starring Dennis Weaver, Valerie Harper and Ruth Gordon.

Searching for older ghost movie reviews forr some time now – Search engines can be your friend
Hi buddies, well done episode, it is nice to see you looking back at older movies sometimes, also your blog’s design is simple and clean and i like it. Your podcasts are superb. Please keep them coming. Greets!!!
I really need to get caught up on old movies
Those all sound great *note I said sound*. Since you stated The Innocents is a lot of people’s favorite I should start with that one. I LOVE horror movies, while they are just movies, it reminds me of the real crazies out in the world.
Another great episode guys. Sorry Horror Guy I gotta agree with Horror Gal on the Lets Bore Jessica to Death. Im just now catching up on some your episodes I missed. The funny coincidence is that we just reviewed that movie also last Thursday so that podcast will be up next week. I think most of us were in agreement with Horror Gal. Also Horror Guy I liked the Dennis Weaver imitation you did. It was pretty funny.
Thanks Jason, been brushing up on my imitations, lol, jk. I can see why you thought the Jessica flick was boring, if you were not into her character it would of been a long and painful film, but great minds do think alike it was one of Stephen King’s favorite horror movies. Curious to hear your review, will grab your podcast when it comes out.
sweet podcast episode BOO love ghost movies and I like horror movies in general
from the above three film I like most “The Innocents” I want to tell you not to watch this film, but I hearken back to the splendid acting of the little Martin Stephens as Miles, which makes the whole painful experience.
Haven’t seen any other these, nice hearing a horror podcast recommending so older movies. I am freaked out with ghost type activity so I am anxious to see these.
Looking forward to watching these ghost films, at least one of you recommended each so I cant go wrong, hopefully I can get my hands on the rare one Don’t Go To Sleep, I am in the UK so it might be tough but I am going to try.
Thanks this made for intresting listening experience. I really love your site, the theme is extremely cool, the audio is fascinating. I have visited here numerous times but have never left a comment, just wanted to let you know…ghosts/paranormal/supernatural stuff really gets me in the gizzards! Really scary stuff!

Me being 57 y/o I am still freaked out about ghosts Horror Gal. I was actually surprised the Guy came in higher that you on some, so I know these 3 must be worth a watch. Keep the ghost reviews coming!
interesting episode. focusig on ghost movies is a good idea, alot of people really get creeped out with the “unknown” actually all this supernatural really keeps the audience engaged because most horror movies differ on what each individual writer or director believes in…
You always have great themes on your monthly episodes and this one doesn’t disappoint either. You even talk about some relatively unknown horror movies which is something since I am a horror hound LMAO and have heard of most movies in this genre. Bye.
Howdy suitable topic for ghost luvers like me
luv this episode great job
Nice way to find some unknown horror movies that this generation could enjoy. All positives here love it.
Jimini Crickets I am going to date myself but I remember watching the Innocents when I was a little girl, oh how it scared the pants off of me those little evil children. I am going to have to watch it and see what my kids think of it now, see if it stands up the test of time.
