Great review of Piranha remake. Love how you give your thorough summary without spoiling the movie. Now I did see Piranha and was totally upset with the actor that got chewed up immediately, I won’t say who, not to spoil it for others, but that is why I went to the theater to see that star. What a bummer! I am 53 probably one of your older audience members, younger people probably wouldn’t care, but I would have to rate it a 4, disgusted somewhat.
Hello horror movie hosts, this is Jayden from London. Been waitin’ for ya review on Piranha 3-D and now I know it must by bloody gorey if the Horror Gal rated it that high. Heading to the theater this weekend, thanks all.
you were the outcast on this episode horrorguy but I am with you specifically with piranha. was expecting a scary movie and got a meaty/sexpiece. well below standards and this movie will really show why 3d will never make it. a taser and boat engine is the best 3d has to offer?, way overratted
not sure i will get/rent tormented, the lingo on films in england is pretty heavy, really not my thing
Fun episode all involved, really love all the personalities, you really get a “feel” of what types of horror movies each host likes. I haven’t seen 3D ever so I am going to take my family tomorrow to the cinema, matinee time to save money, got 5 in the fam, should be fun!
hello podcasters burness here from great britain. wanted to drop a line and say tormented was something unique for us. the mixture of a presence and slasher was neat. now for me the characters was not annoying and i overly enjoyed the movie. seen it actually last year when it came out here.
lots of horror info on your podcast and i generally liked your guest jason this week. i will check out some of his episodes. keep um coming—–
thats cool burness, horror guy really liked it.i didnt completely hate it but just couldnt get to into it.i do like bitish movies and tv however (love the TOP GEAR).any british horror u really suggest?
thanks for asking doctor horror, yes indeed i do have some suggestions, shaun of the dead, eden lake, the children, freakdog, severance. we have also had many dracula movies over the years if your into that. would really like to know what you think about some of those once you watch them
Watched Pirahna at the theater yesterday, and it was decent. Wasn’t fond on the blatant nudity (I’m a lady) but it did have some gruesome scenes. I also didn’t catch the 3d version wasn’t paying an extra 5 dollars in my area for it, anyways you all said it was very gimmicky, still fun though. If you care I would rate it a 6, marginally above standards for a scary movie.
What a clever group of hosts exciting and fresh – superb reviews w/o stating too much – fun podcast
aw man you guys are cruel, ms. shue wouldnt like it about her face, but i do agree LOL shes getting up there looked it up and she turns a whopping 47 she actually looks quite good for her age i dont think the actresses do like the big screen all that much especially 3d unless they get airbrushed or have a face lift LOL very enjoyable podcast all involved sweet over views and ratings scheme
Your fellow podcaster guest this weeks show was very good. Great reviews on both movies. I would like to catch Pirahna at the theaters but since there was tons released yesterday its not playing anymore here by my house. I will definitely get it on dvd. Looking forward to watching many horror movies this month.
Hope your guys ratings come in strong on them.
im goin’ to wait for piranha to come on dvd, too many horror movies out now that sound better. wiaitng on all your reviews on oct 1 movies and will make my choice then which ones to see. excellent podcast.
hey doctor horror did you perhaps see any of those films i recommended for you to watch? i would love to hear what you think since you didnt like tormented.
yes ive seen shaun of the dead many times. love that one.the children was reallly good to. i have eden lake and severance to watch but ive heard good things.thanks for the follow up and ill let you know what i think of them when i see them.
Hello Burness I want to jump into the little conversation here, and I am going to give you my rating on the British films you recommended for all but Severance which I haven’t seen.
Shaun Of The Dead – Rating: 6 – I am not a fan of the ridiculous horror but this one is better than most.
The Children – Rating: 8 – Was my 12th favorite horror film of 2009, excellent movie.
Freakdog – Rating: 7 – Pretty cool movie, some graphic scenes, entertaining.
Eden Lake – Rating: 5 – Average movie, a little boring, acting so-so, maybe worth a watch.
I am not a fan at all of Dracula movies no matter where their made.
I was surprised you didn’t mention 28 Days/Weeks Later, great ravaging zombies and Doghouse another zombie movie with a twist that was very good.
Thank you for listening to The Horror Movie Show.
thank you guys so much for responding, it is so nice to see you are diverse and like foreign films also.
great detail horrorguy, i actually didnt mention 28 days later cause i figured the doctor horro had seen that it is probably one of the most popular british films recently. i havent seen doghouse so i will definitely be getting that it just came out not too long ago.
again thanks you are my favorite horror podcast and thank you for responding to your fans. participation is great.
