Two Host Picks Released On BluRay

Psycho BluRay Disc Cover  The Fly BluRay Disc Cover Hot off the plastic disc pressing machine is two of the hosts Thriller Chiller Picks Of The Week on BluRay format.

Back on Episode 12 the HorrorGuy chose Psycho as his pick and on Episode 19 the HorrorGal told the audience to purchase The Fly. Both of these were just released on BluRay and you can buy them on the Recommendations Page for some low prices.

The Horror Movie Show 0063: Curry Balls

Episode 63 Podcast features for a first time on The Horror Movie Show a back-to-back theater movies rating and review. Jamie Coward one of the Horrorphilia hosts joins us in discussing the movies. The show begins with a quick talk about Hatchet II being pulled from the theaters, then comes a detailed review of Let Me In which was taken directly from the Swedish movie Let The Right One In. After the rating the hosts delve into the differences between the two movies. A young boy who is picked on in school finds a friend with his new neighbor who turns out to be a several hundred years old vampire girl who craves blood.

Next the horror-comedy It’s A Wonderful Afterlife is mulled over. This movie premiered in several countries and got a limited release here in the U.S. on October 8th. An extremely protective mother wants her daughter to get married and will stop at nothing to prove this. After poisoning events and while the cops are looking for a serial killer, ghosts come back to haunt the mother.

The show ends with the Thriller Chiller segment where Jamie chimes in with a pick of his own, The Exorcist, which was just released on BluRay. You can buy this double disc special at Amazon or through our Recommendations Page as The Exorcist was HorrorGal’s favorite horror movie ever.

Episode 62 Podcast is a Director’s Cut show where you will learn about a new horror-comedy called Aaah! Zombies!! The movie provides a whole new perspective on the zombie genre and the hosts brush over the movie briefly to start. The movie will be released everywhere October 19th.

Matthew Kohnen, the director and co-writer stops by for an interview and he discusses the ins-and-outs of filmmaking with many interesting details on Aaah! Zombies!! including the plot and the idea behind the film, the shooting location and the length of time filming, how special effects were achieved, how the budget plays a key role in making a film plus many more details about the movie.
