Time, gentlemen… Everyone off the planet!

This is it. We have finally & successfully reached the fateful day prophesied in the Mayan prognostication that December 21, 2012, is the last day of “the world as we have known it” — and so must end. Myself, I would have picked the much more numerically interesting 12-12-12, but there you are. Nobody ever listens to me.

During this final episode of The Horror Movie Show, your soon to be ravenous hosts Mark & Jerry delve deeply into the myriad ways in which our planet might be smashed & destroyed & all life reduced to cinders. Oh yeah, just in time for the Holidays!

Jerry & Mark, your survivalist hosts with the most — cans of beans, that is — begin with a review of a new horror flick, House at the End of the Street. The lovely but unsmiling Jennifer Lawrence (heroine of The Hunger Games) bravely takes on a whole bunch of crazily vicious possibilities in this Psycho-style thriller.

Following this review, the loveable lugs begins to delineate each of the terrible ways that our poor, put-upon planet Earth could be destroyed come midnight tonight. They begin with a comet reported to be a “planet killer” in Armageddon, move on to a hellish ice age in The Day After Tomorrow, then dally with the ridiculous notion that the chewy centre of the world might stop rotating (whatever that means) in The Core.

Also included: a gigantic meteor strike in Meteor, a horrifyingly hostile alien invasion on Independence Day and, last but not least horrible, a colossal asteroid strike in Deep Impact.

Yes, all these possible worldly endings can be yours for the praying. Get on your knees & get bizzay! Happy New Year, survivors!
