Who is screaming inside the chimney?
Seasoned greedings to one & all! A very jolly ho-ho-ho to all our overstuffed listeners this fine Yule week. And for those who don’t celebrate Xmas, let us here at The Horror Movie Show say only this: Santa loves you too.
This week, your turkey-ridden hosts Mark & Jerry explore the big-screen version of Thor: The Dark World. Is it as good as the first Thor movie? Is it worse? Is it the same movie with a different title? (No, of course not.) Listen in for the gut-stuffed review.
We now move into the Xmas horror part of our seasonal spectacular, beginning with the far-from-venerable Christmas Evil, costarring a young & hysterical Jeffrey DeMunn. Next up is The Children, about an extended family who comes together & then comes apart because of very, very naughty children at Xmastime. Third, Jerry & Mark try to overcome their stomach upset as they gag over Caesar & Otto’s Deadly Xmas. Finally, yet another of those odious Syfy movies, this one from last year titled The 12 Disasters of Xmas — the story of how Mayans hid clues to saving the planet all around some northern U.S. town that hadn’t yet been considered. Ho ho, say what?
The guys wrap this show with a few comments on the extended version of the first in the Hobbit series of movies by Peter Jackson & gang. Expect a review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in the near future. But for now, we here at The Horror Movie Show wish you a lovely holiday, with love & modest excitement. Cheers… and where’s the Pepto?
